Kids diagnosed with ADHD, Aspergers, learning differences or higher verbal autism often can appear unmotivated because they do not understand how to organize a sequence in their brain of how to start and complete the task. I use this strategy, backwards planning to help them visualize what the end result should look like. By teaching a process and starting with the end in mind their anxiety can go down significantly.
